Embark on a trip
along the waterway

Take a boat from Brussels to Halle! Or embark on an organized boat trip from Halle, individually or in a group. The route is through a rural waterway with green banks and numerous water birds and is combined with visits to sights along the waterway.

One such visit is to the Coloma Rose Garden with more than 3000 different types of roses from all over the world. The boat route passes the Plane of Ronquières and with changes in the locks of Lembeek (a 7m drop) and Ittre (a 14m drop!).

The tourist boating season runs from May to October. Looking for a unique way to celebrate an occasion or for a fun group outing for your company? Group arrangements are possible all year round with or without a meal on board for 20 to 300 guests.



departs and returns

Boats depart from Halle Suikerkaai (3.5 km from Hallerbos B&B). You can take the bus from the ”Mooi Vergezicht” bus stop (600m from Hallerbos B&B, on Krabos street between Hallerbosstraat and Plattesteen streets). The journey takes about 15 min. You return from the boat’s end stop to Halle by bus or bike. Departure from Brussels and arriving in Halle is also possible!


